    Credentialing Specialist [CR0019]

    We are currently seeking a credentialing specialist who will be responsible for coordinating and executing the credentialing of physicians, physical therapists, and other allied healthcare professionals with insurance companies in various markets throughout the United States. The role will involve providing excellent customer service both by phone and in person out of our headquarters located in Bend, OR.  This is a part-time position.

    Requirements:

    1. Associate's degree required. Bachelor's degree preferred.
    2. Minimum of two years of experience with provider credentialing in a medical practice setting.
    3. Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist (CPCS) or Certified Professional Medical Services Management (CPMSM) credential STRONGLY preferred.
    4. Proven experience working in a small team environment.
    5. Proficient use of Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).

    Qualities:

    1. Service-driven - The person who fills this role must LOVE providing excellent customer service
    2. Self-starter - Must be capable of making decisions within an appropriate level of authority
    3. Tech savvy - Heavy use of the internet, Microsoft Office, Excel, Outlook
    4. Excellent written and verbal communication skills - We spend a LOT of time communicating by phone and email, and a solid grasp of professional communication is essential
    5. Personality - You'll love us, and we'll want to love you back :)

    Duties:

    1. Accurate and timely completion of credentialing packets for providers in several states.
    2. Liaison between providers and insurance companies to ensure timely and complete communication regarding credentialing process.
    3. Organization of provider renewals with insurance companies.
    4. Communication with medical billing professionals and front office staff regarding provider credential status.
    5. Resolve issues regarding provider credentialing with insurance companies.
    6. Contract review and negotiation.
    7. Maintain accurate and organized provider credentialing records.
