As part of our medical billing team, Dacotah Lange is a voice for both our clients and their patients. She’s also been known to belt out a note or two from Tracy Chapman or the Counting Crows.
(It makes far better sense when she explains it.)
“A typical day for me at Vantage,” she says, “includes processing and submitting claims for several different clients, posting payments to patients’ accounts, answering patient phone calls, and singing along to the 90s Pop Pandora station with the rest of the medical billing team.”
“My main goal in this position is to maintain the reputation Vantage has for giving not just great customer service, but what we like to call ‘customer love,’” she said. “Our clients and the patients they serve are at the heart of what we do. I always try to give a little more than what is expected, whether it is returning calls quickly or personally calling clients to update them on the status of their accounts.”
A graduate of San Francisco State University with a B.A. in psychology, Dacotah has long applied this philosophy to life outside of work, as well. In the Bay Area, she gave her time to the LGBT Center’s Cyber Center as well as volunteered with an after-school program at a low-income elementary school, helping kids with homework and supervising activities.
“My main goal was to just be a positive role model for the kids,” she said. “I love working with youth and find it tremendously rewarding to be able to make a positive difference in someone’s day – even if it’s just a small one.”
