Team Training

Our training programs are customized to meet the needs of each individual client or organization, however our focus surrounds the areas of relationships, change, and teamwork specific to the healthcare environment. Each of our team trainings can be offered onsite or offsite as required.


Program 1: Healthy Relationships in the Workplace

In this training, participants will learn the skills and tools required to create and maintain healthy relationships in the healthcare workplace in a challenging, yet light-hearted workshop. At the end of this training session, participants will be able to:

  • Communicate more effectively, especially in difficult conversations
  • Have a greater awareness of their own personal preferences and reactions and possess the skills necessary to manage them
  • Develop an increased understanding and acceptance of diverse preferences and styles in the healthcare workplace

Duration: One half-day, full-day, or a series of 2-hour sessions (depending on size and custom preferences)
Target Audience: Leaders and staff


Program 2: Managing Change Effectively

In this training, participants will learn how to effectively communicate with, and support staff through the discomfort of change. At the end of this training session, participants will be able to:

  • Improve trust and communication during the change process
  • Understand the stages of change and how to support staff and each other through the change process
  • Deal effectively with conflict and resistance that commonly occurs during change
  • Diagnose causes of conflict within teams during change, and have the skills and tools required to manage conflict as it occurs during the change process

Duration: 2 hours
Target Audience: Leaders


Program 3: Building Teams - Starting Smart

In this training, participants will learn how to take the first steps toward building effective teams in the healthcare workplace. At the end of this training session, participants will be able to:

  • Clarify purpose, direction, roles, and expectations
  • Create agreements for working together in a team environment of honesty and trust
  • Identify expectations for personal and team accountability
  • Identify individual strengths and working styles to optimize team effectiveness
  • Communicate honestly and effectively, as well as develop recovery strategies for breakdowns that occur

Duration: One half-day or full day (depending on size and custom preferences)
Target Audience: Leaders and staff
